2027 GMC Terrain Trim Comparison: Elevation vs. AT4 vs. Denali

2027 GMC Terrain AT4 with Bike Rack

The 2027 GMC Terrain lineup gives you three distinct trim levels to consider: Elevation, AT4, and Denali. Every 2027 GMC Terrain seats up to five and features a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 175 horsepower. The differences come down to the equipment and personality you want from your SUV, whether that's everyday versatility, additional off-road capability, or premium comfort. At Gillman GMC, you can compare each GMC Terrain trim and find the right match for your needs.

GMC Terrain Elevation

The Elevation serves as the starting point for the 2027 GMC Terrain lineup, but it comes well equipped for everyday driving. Standard features include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 15-inch Premium GMC Infotainment System, and an 11-inch Driver Information Center.

More than 16 safety and driver-assistance technologies are also standard. Available all-wheel drive provides additional traction when conditions call for it, while available features such as a two-tone roof allow you to personalize the exterior.

GMC Terrain AT4

The AT4 gives the new GMC SUV a more adventurous personality. All-wheel drive is standard, and the AT4 adds an off-road-tuned suspension, lifted ride height, front skid plate with a steel underbody shield, and red front recovery hooks.

The AT4 also rides on 17-inch Dark Machined aluminum wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. Its selectable drive modes include an AT4-exclusive Terrain Mode, along with Normal, Snow/Ice, Off-Road, Tow/Haul, and AWD modes.

Inside, premium cloth and CoreTec™ seating with Mahogany accents gives the AT4 a distinctive appearance while retaining the 15-inch infotainment system and 11-inch Driver Information Center found in the Elevation.

GMC Terrain Denali

The Denali is the luxury-focused member of the 2027 GMC Terrain family. It comes standard with all-wheel drive and a premium suspension while adding features designed to elevate passenger comfort.

Perforated leather-appointed front seats are standard, along with heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats. The Denali also includes 19-inch Midnight Silver machined-face aluminum wheels, animated headlamps and taillamps, and signature Galvano chrome exterior accents.

Technology is another significant upgrade. HD Surround Vision and a Rear Camera Mirror are standard, providing additional visibility around and behind the SUV. Wireless smartphone charging and Google built-in compatibility add further everyday convenience.

What Do All 2027 GMC Terrain Trims Have in Common?

Regardless of trim, the 2027 GMC Terrain provides seating for five and up to 63.5 cu. ft. of maximum cargo space behind the first row. You also get 29.8 cu. ft. behind the second row, giving you useful room for groceries, luggage, sports equipment, and other everyday cargo. All three trims use a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower. When properly equipped, the GMC Terrain can tow up to 1,500 lbs.
